September 15, 1999Week 6 with ProcarinI've been using Procarin for 6 weeks. Not much too report, wish there was! Energy or stamina is usual, that's with just about every MS treatment out there. What I am noticing is my skin is flaking, minor but there is lots of flakes on my legs mainly. I think there's some improvement with my circulation. I use a diaper (Adult briefs, adults can't call them diapers!) and for over a year I've had to put Duo-derm (protective medical tape) on or between the bottom diaper edge and my skin, where the pressure always makes the edge cut into my skin from sitting. I haven't used the tape for a week. Still not using it. I'm using a thin piece of material instead, which I always used with the tape, for added comfort. I'm also noticing I'm not as puffy would be the word. So far that's about it. I'm starting to use my electric peddler (Surprise!) 3 to 4 days per week. Starting out slowly, 1/2 hour. My legs first. I still think that the things lost last will be the first to improve, so I'll be starting exercising my arms when I get the ACE bandages to rap my hands on the handles. They're great to use because you can secure your hands real tight on the handles. I'll start using the Lauden Pharmacy in Capitola next week. Shipping cost alone will make things cheaper. He's a real nice person, carrying from what I've noticed. From reading others responses Procarin Patch Users/New MS Treatment; on how they're doing with Procarin, I'm thinking at least 6 months (hate saying that) before I'm going to notice anything substantial. As long as I keep up with the exercising, (boy, where have I heard that!) which seems to be happening! I'll enter more in a few weeks... |
