August 11, 1999It's been 7 days today with applications being done twice daily. My other Live-in is doing both applications so far. She's been with me approximately 3 months, so hopefully she'll stick with it so my friend doesn't get so worried. I'll continue my RifeBare sessions, which is twice daily also. I don't want to stop using the RifeBare because it's improving my bowel function. (Elimination of toxins!) Which has increased steadily from 3 to 4 days to 1 to 2 days, to everyday recently. (That may be from Porcarin) Which is good but low intestinal cramping goes along with it, along with loose bowels. ( Using a wheelchair and having to depend on others to get to a bathroom is making me...not a happy camper! My attendants are being real understanding.) This RifeBare "Cleansing" is supposed to last a couple weeks, so we shall see. When applying the patch, you put it where circulation (in my case that's a tuffy) is best. I asked the pharmacist about putting it on my neck, he said no. My bicep on my right arm is best but I can't put it there twice in a row, so every other day will have to do. I haven't tried my stomach area, I would think the chest would be a good spot. My face would be the best as far as circulation because I'm always moving my mouth! Didn't ask him that, maybe I should! I think this Porcarin treatment is going to work good with MSers that are moving more than someone like me. Or I should say, would work good if you're moving your body to cause your circulation to keep active. This all points to exercising again. From reading the few MSer Posts (Alternative Treatments & Therapies (link no longer available)on AOL) of MSers using Porcarin, they all mention walking further or cleaning their house. (or nothing at all) Which means movement. They were walking before with cane or walker assistance. Talking with the pharmacist, he said put the patch where circulation is best. ...Please, don't let my experience stop any CP MSers from trying this, my situation is not the best for optimum results... as I think you all know! Talking with Elaine Delack's assistant (she called today) it's real important to make sure that the patch is COMPLETELY SEALED so no air gets in and NO AIR POCKETS. The consistency of the Porcarin cream should be the same as when you first apply it to a patch (air will dry it up) at the end of 8 hrs.. That may be a cause of me not feeling much of anything so far. I think that they're being put on correctly about half the time. She also mentioned making the patches bigger. (they're way too small) 3" by 3" would be a good size. So, trying to find a new place, finding an honest attendant, convincing my Live-in to put the patch on correctly, dealing with the heat and trying to get some exercising in... I'll give this treatment a fair chance. I'm not sure what length of time that will be, most likely when the money runs out!! Probably 3 months should be a good amount of time... Please keep me informed of any Porcarin users and of course any new treatments.
