Texas A&M University, antibiotics studies February 27, 1999I guess there's more to this than most have thought. MS and CFS - Bacterial Causes? (Website has Retired) This website is also real informative with nutrition being a way to reduce the bacteria and theories as to why the bacteria stays and how steroids listen symptoms. It may be that steroids listen inflammation, but they are suggesting that steroids decrease the bacteria level! They are also saying that this bacteria may be with us before birth! (Municipal water theory could fit here!) MSers can send blood samples to which they will test (taking a month) and recommend with your doctor on what type and how much antibiotics to take. Dr.Lindner is into research, he doesn't do the treatment. He is completely setup to work with any MSers doctor. The website gives COMPLETE DETAILS on how to do all this. It would be so much easier to do this and cheaper! Texas A&M would like a "Donation" of $40. ( LifeCare is $350 plus) If my doctor would work with them, Medi-Cal will pay for blood workup , basically any prescription from a doctor in California. If she's not willing, I'll go to LifeCare. My doctor wouldn't touch LifeCare, hopefully she will go for this. Lindner is sending me his "Papers" to give her. I don't get the impression that they know where or what causes the bacteria. They say that everyone has this bacteria but MSers, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) Lupus and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) have it in abundance. And stress causes the bacteria to flareup. (Sound familiar!) Also, zinc and chromium are essential. Dr. Lindner doesn't have anything nice to say about LifeCare, (which is understandable.) They are basically doing the same protocol, except, one being that LifeCare does the blood culture in a day, Texas A&M in a month. LifeCare says 98%, Texas A&M 20% improvement. I don't know the numbers for MSers used. Who is right? And, does it really matter? I would be happy with 10%! Antibiotics aren't that threatening to me. I know I don't have to say, check this website out! |
