August 4, 1998The parent company of Immunex, American Home Products (AHP) just completed a trial in Germany in MS. The data will be presented for the first time at the 14th Conference of the European Committee for the Treatment of Multiple Sclerosis in Stockholm Sweden, September 9-12. I don't know which doctors,(possibly Dr.Kounhuber is one) the EDSS of the MSers nor the protocol. It could be mitoxantrone (Novantrone) alone... mitoxantrone, methylprednisolone(steroid) or mitoxantrone, methylprednisolone and immunoglobulin.These are the only study combinations I know. You will know as soon as I know. If it's the immunoglobulin study, that will dampen my frustration, just a little!!...I went to their website, nothing is mentioned as of this date. I entered < American Home Products >. My treatment went well, this IV Port is a wonderful invention! I'm still waiting on the EMS (no surprise!) I'll likely arrange to buy one. My puff and sip wheelchair is actually on order! I start a treatment that is starting to show improvements and NOW I get a puff and sip chair! (boy, the wheels are rolling now!!!) Still haven't arranged for the Food Allergy Test... My GP wants to have some verification to show Medi-Cal, to justify them paying for the tests. I'm still looking for official research!
