TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGIN'!!...
I'm having ROM done 5 days a week on a regular basis. My Tilt Table isn't being used as much as I would like because I haven't hired anyone yet on a permanent bases, right now it's 3 days per week.
>From the exercising I am doing, I can notice the improvements. When I go to bed at night I usually, if not always am woken around 3 a.m. from pain of my left heel pressing into the mattress. This has been going on for at least a year...NOT ANYMORE... My right shoulder is stronger. It takes a long time, (if at all) for it to get sore when I'm using the computer. I have a tendency to lean towards the microphone which is on my right, which puts lots of pressure on my shoulder... NOT ANYMORE... When Blue (my cat) laid on my lap, my feet would start hurting, usually within a 1/2 hour. It would be too painful for her to stay, I'd have my live-in take Blue off... NOT ANYMORE...Talking to a friend (usually every couple of months) from Oregon, she says my voice isn't as labored, I'm talking normally.... I'm not taking extra breaths to get words out!
When using the Tilt Table, I get tilted up about 75%... making sure my feet are completely flat, bearing my weight. I'm starting with 20 minutes. When I first started I would get nauseated and a little dizzy... NOT ANYMORE...While at a 75 degree angle I can pull my hands (one at a time, elbow to hand) up above my naval 5 times each for starters. I've done nothing with my left arm in over 2 years!
Allen bought the ball... I tried hitting/ tapping it with my foot, no way so far. I can't even move my legs! I got discouraged when I came face to face with that little bit of reality. Although it's been 4 years since I was doing that exercise...
I'll be starting Solumedrol with the Mitoxantrone treatment. My next treatment is in 2 weeks. I'm hoping I'll be tapping the ball within a month, if not ... I'll keep trying until I move the damn thing!
