Well here is what Jeff and I did in our spare time over the July 4th,1998  weekend ... sometimes we  just have to do things for ourselves no matter how impracticle they may be.

Actually this started out as a 20 gallon bucket

We got a great deal on pump and filter that was over kill for the bucket above and did alot of bargain hunting. All we really needed after that was a liner, plants and some fish.

In 1997, when Michigan Rehabilitation Services had a wheelchair accessable front porch put in front for us, the contractors tore out the old concrete. Now it's the sides of the pond. Amazing what you can do with sod and broken concrete and imagination.

All in all we found this a very satisfying project.. time well spent doing something together that we will both benefit from.  It's relaxing, pleasing to the eye as well as entertaining. And the time spent with Jeff brainstorming on this wonderful as well.
