October 7th 1998 Hi FOlks, My computer has been down so things are really behind here. Computers! Can't live with them. Can't live without them! So anyway here I am kinda sorta back online still waiting for a ouple more upgrades. Be prepared. Once I get this set up here on the home front there are going to be some major changes here on the site. If you have suggestions speak now or forever hold your peace (or at least til the next time I change things). You can send your ideas to me email at webmaster@mymsviews.org I will read all your ideas. In the mean time I will be doing some minor tweaking here but it will probably be very minor. The MonSter is behaving for now. Actually behaving rather well (knock on wood). I'm glad I stuck with the copaxone and I'm glad I finally went to the dentist. I think getting the cruddy teeth fixed is helping as well. Well that's all for now! Hugs and Love Oishda
September 13, 1998 Greetings Everyone! You all probably noticed that the site is a tad neglected. My apologies but I've been giving the MonSter Dancing Lessons once again. I have tried to keep the important stuff like Renés Journal and the links as up to date as possible. As always your suggestions are welcome. Things I have learned in the past couple months 1) Take care of your teeth and DO go to the dentist every 6 months if at all possible. 2) Double check your meds when you get a new Rx to make sure there is NO chance of drug interactions with other meds you are taking. 3) Don't try to be SUPER MSer (no climbing ladders, no working out in the heat till you can't move anymore, no pushing yourself to finish a job than can wait). 4) Keep your body temperature cool even if you have to look funny and walk around with an ice pack on your head! And last but not least 5) Everything else is small stuff so don't sweat it! Last month I had the pleasure of meeting 4 online buddies and boy was it a blast. This may sound weird but it sure is comforting to be in a room with 4 others who walk like you and share alot of the same complaints. And what revelation did this group of ladies with MS come to you may ask yourself ... Well we decided that the worst part of this disease is the fact that things which used to require little if no effort and thought now seem to be a chore. What else have we decided .... We may have MS but we shall be damned if we let MS have US! To top off this visit one of my friends and I went and got tattoo's! Yup that's right still crazy after all these years! As soon as mine is finished I'll put it up here for y'all to see it. There's a couple stories behind mine ... I had gotten one years (23 to be exact) ago ... since then alot in my life has changed including the big DIVORCE in 80... Well I finally decided that that old baggage had to eliminated completely so.... I had the result of the infamous "but honey if you love you'll get my name tattooed on your arm I'm putting your name on mine" needless to say within a few years it turned into a big black line... Well 20 years later I now have 2 orchids there and no more leftovers that are visible of my past. It was empowering to say the least... Ok Ok enough rambling on ... just thought I would share how important it is to do something nice for yourself ...makes a heck of alot of difference in ones sense of self. After all AtTiTuDe*IS*EvErYtHiNg!!! Hugs and Love my friends Oishda |
