| November 3,2004 Greetings friends, Well it's that time of year again. We are gearing up for our hunting trip. This year I got a new bow and we are planning on doing some more bow hunting before firearm season starts on the 15th of this month. Winter camping is going to be a new experience for me and I am looking forward to it. I am hoping this year to get a deer with my bow but I know there are many hunters who have been hunting for years that still have yet to get one. We are hunting a new area this year and when we went out for a week the beginning of the month it looked promising. We saw deer but not within shooting range. With a bow you have to be closer to the animal than with a gun. Deer are very perceptive and can pick-up on the slightest irregularity in their environment so stillness and quiet is a must as well as trying to be as scent free as possible. I think I had that all under control since the one afternoon a chipmunk sat on my lap for a couple minutes. HUGs and LOVE Carolyn |
