| | May 12, 2005 Hi Everyone, Well I did it! Yes I am officially a 'Biker Chick" I took the Riders Edge Course at Biker Bobs' Motown Harley Davidson. I spent Saturday and Sunday on a Buell Blast till my butt was sore. I passed the riding part Sunday afternoon and the written part Monday evening. Tuesday morning I was at the Secretary of States office (DMV) and passed their test and now own a motorcycle operators license.
This was not as easy as I thought, there is quite a bit to riding a motorcycle. You have to be ready for anything at anytime so you always have to be on guard. After awhile I am sure it will become automatic to me and it is just the newbie in me that finds it a bit overwhelming. Just so you all know I won't be on the road until I feel at one with my bike and abilities. And for those of you wondering ..YES I always wear a helmet law or not...I even went out and bought myself a brand new one for when I ride alone. Hey my brain may have plaques in it but it's still my brain and I am sort of attached to it plaques and all!
