| March 30, 2002 Dear Friends, It has been some time since I wrote a note here. It's funny how things change. At one point all I did was devote my time and attention to not only this website but to serving as a chat host on AOL and working on a few other websites. Now it seems I barely find time to write here let alone make all the necessary changes to the site that we all know I need to make. Dancing with the MonSter is a strange and unpredictable dance to say the least. In 1995 I was basically told I would be in a wheelchair from then on. Now here it is 2002, I'm 41 years old and the chair was traded in for riding on the back of my boyfriends Harley. I like the Harley a lot more. Yes there is life after MS. Yes there is life after you take big steps to change your life. And yes there is life after 40! So what have I been doing with my life now...aside from Dancing with the MonSter, I have been hunting, fishing and going for rides with Mike on the bike. I know the Copaxone had a lot to do with the changes in the course of my MS but I also believe regaining my sense of self played a tremendous role as well. I made some very tough decisions a couple years back that totally changed my life around and at the time it was very scary and uncertain. But because of those decisions I was able to meet a wonderful guy who appreciates me for who I really am MS and all. For years I said MS is a mixed blessing but it definitely makes you appreciate even the smallest gifts. AtTiTuDe*IS*EvErYtHiNg!!!
